Cant add any AE composition to the AME render queue

New Here ,
Dec 03, 2021 Dec 03, 2021

Since I've updated to 2022, nothing I try to send to the AME queue will work, it will always remain empty. For a few days, really small comps would transfer over to AME to be rendered after ten minutes or so, but now it seems like I can't get anything to it.

Even manually going to "File>Add AE Comp" will just freeze AME and I have to force quit it.

I can encode normal videos, like a MOV from AE, dragged into the AME queue, to re-render as a mp4, but that's a longer and increidbly redundant method to render a video, especially when I don't need a 5GB prores video taking up space on my SSD.

Everything is updated and installed, so I'm not sure what the problem is here.

I have a Ryzen 3700x, RTX 3080, 32GB Silicon Power 4200mhz ram, 1tb nvme

Hi Evan5FF9,

Sorry for your issue.

We're aware of this and engineers are working on a fix. This issue occurs when there is a cineware effect applied or the Cinema 4D renderer is being used in the project. The workaround is to export the project using the After Effects render queue and then transcode it using Media Encoder. Looks like you already have been doing this. I understand this is not the ideal workflow but this is the best one we could find other than installing the previous version of After Effects and Media Encoder.

Let us know if there are any other questions.

Thanks,

Nishu
