Ive been searching everywhere for this problem but it seem im the only one having it.

i cant rotate objects with my selection tool and its driving me nuts, you are suppose to get the rotate icon when you place your cursor a bit away from the pivot point but for me the icon never shows up, im only abel to move and scale the object with selection tool but it seems impossible to rotate.

is there a setting i have acceadently touched or something? please help i honesty cant keep living i with using rotation tool and "r" and manually turn things anymore.

Selection tool can only move and scale layers, is not designed for rotation. For Rotation you have to use the Rotation Tool (Shortcut ¨W¨).

The only way to use the selection tool for rotation is when transforming masks and shape layers. As soon as you approach outside over the handles you will have the option for rotate.

It took me a minute to figure this out but if you double click on the object with the selection tool you can then hover near the corner for the rotation option.
