Choose computer please !

I think multi-core is very important at after effect.

1. E7-8890 V4 es + GTX 1070 FE

2. I7-8700 + GTX 1080 FE

I know ES cpu is really gamble, but price of 1, 2 is same.

So, choose computer please !

My computer system is now

i7-8700k

asus maximus x formula

g.skill ddr4 32gb 3866mhz

aorus gtx 1080ti

radiator 480mm x2

phantek enthoo elite

but, i can't use my computer at after effect ( something happen )

My opinion:

I would choose the CPU with the highest GHz.

The number of cores doesn't make a huge difference in AE. It makes in Premiere or C4D.

Also you won't use the 1080 at its full potential, since AE is not graphic card hungry.

No, it isn't. Very few things in AE are parallelized and multi-threaded, so there is zero advantage here and in fact it may be a lot slower, because many cores wouldn't even be used. read the many threads on this forum on this subject. I've expleained this in detail a million times.

As those above have mentioned, multiple cores are not important to modern After Effects.

In order of importance:

1 - CPU Speed (not cores)

2 - RAM - get as much as you can afford

3 - Fast SSD hard drive

4 - GPU

But, i don't use aftereffect cc , i use aftereffect cs6.

CPU speed is important than core on cs6, too ??
