Crash or freeze after a while using frame-by-frame rotobrush

Community Beginner ,

hello,

this is getting totally frustrating: using AE 18.2.1

on a

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10870H CPU @ 2.20GHz,

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU,

32GB Memory

after a while I use rotobrush it simply gets unusable.

I go fram by frame ahead to tune the brush + refine but after a while, no way I can get ahead as it stucks like in the screenshot..

loads and loads, no refresh of the new edges, no way even re-starting it...

basically, no way to use rotobrush on clips longer thank few seconds (no more than 5...)

any hint?

ty

Hi matteo mariaa95554836,

Sorry for your issue. Please share the following details so that we can diagnose the issue properly.

Does it happen with a particular clip or a particular type of clip? Do you see any error message or crash report?

As basic maintenance, try resetting the preference and clearing the media cache.

Let us know if it helps.

Thanks,

Nishu

no way 😞

after a while it simply stops working properly and to get any feedback:

either: render new frame

or: go ahead with spacebar for a preview

or: propagating a new rotobrush step

takes forever when it works.. otherwise it simply stays put..

where could I find any log?

the only way it seems I am able to do something, is by micro-splitting the clip into 1 second cuts...
