Creative Cloud not showing update for After Effects December 2022 (23.1) release

Creative Cloud version 5.9.0.372

Current AE version: 23.0

Processor: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2950X 16-Core Processor 3.50 GHz

GPU: RTX 2080Ti, Driver version: Studio driver 517.40

Despite clicking "check for updates", Creative Cloud sees After Effects as currently up to date on v23.0.

All other apps are updated, as well as Creative Cloud itself.

Any idea why the latest release isn't being detected and updated?

Nevermind the above. As per Adobe Employee nishu_kush:

It's a phased rollout. You'll see the update soon.

We appreciate your patience.

I don't think it's actually out yet, so far nobody has confirmed it's actual availability

I "fixed" the problem.

I logged into my Creative Cloud account via Chrome, went to 'account settings', clicked 'access your apps and services', and noticed that After Effects was not listed as "installed" (even though it was). I went back to the Creative Cloud desktop app, went to 'sync' settings, selected the 'apps' tab, then manually turned After Effects 'auto-updates' OFF, then ON again.

Somehow, that fixed the problem and now the new update for AE v23.1 is available.
