Drag & Drop from project window to Comp window not working...

Hi,

I'm working on Adobe After Effects CC 2018 and having trouble to drag my files from the Project window into the Composition window.  It just doesn't do anything.

Is there a setting I need to change. Please help.

Without any critical details like system info, items used, project and comp settings etc. nobody realyl can tell you much. A screenshot might also help.

Hi!

Are you able to create a composition? Can you create layers (solid, null, ...)? Can you still view your imported files in the footage viewer?

I have the same problem in AE 2017 (I have 2019 but I need 2017) on windows 10.  I can create files, folders, comps, but I can not drag anything in the Project panel so I cannot organize the project (i can not get created items into folders) and I cannot drag items into the timeline.
