effects & presets panel glitching?

hello everyone! as of recently, I've experienced this annoying issue in the effects presets. anything I search that starts with an S, glitches the effects panel and I can't click on anything that comes up, nor can I scroll down. If I do, it does this weird thing where the panel's name duplicates itself?? for some reason, this only happens with the letter S, any other letter works. any ideas on how to solve this?

(I use After Effects 2018, by the way.)

It's all good now! I found out I have way too many presets in one folder so I moved some to other folders and it works again 🙂

More people will watch your video if you upload to a host site like Youtube or Vimeo and then embed it. So it it oesn't need to be downloaded to a users local hard drive in order for them to watch it.

Or you can show in detail how and where you moved the presets, otherwise I have the same problem and nothing helps...

Could you share more details on what's happening? What's the version of After Effects you're using? A screen recording would be helpful to understand the issue better.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,
Nishu

This is what is happening with me, and it looks like the same problem on here. I use Ae 22 on a macbook currently and whenever I try to open the effects tab, as you can see, it glitches out and mutliplies itself. I have tried to reset the control panel to saved layout, restart ae, restart my computer, purge cache, etc. but nothing seems to work. I have also tried moving the presets/deleting them as said in this passage but that didn't do anything as well. Btw, everything was going fine until I exported a project then I realised that the effect pannel was messed up.
