Element 3D Causing Crashes in After Effects

Hi,

At my place of work, we've been experiencing problems with After Effects crashing whenever we install Element 3D from VideoCopilot. We've updated to the latest version of Element 3D, and install After Effects 24, but the same thing happens. This is with a 2020 iMac, by the way. Any suggestions as to how to get around this?

Have you downloaded the latest version of Element from Video Copilot? There were some updates a while ago.

I believe I did download the lastest version of Element 3D yesterday.

I've found Element3D really likes to be installed into the standard places on your computer C: drive and local My Documents. it might be that in your workplace, it's being installed across a network or your documents areas as not local and this could be the source of the crashes. Of course, I'm talking about PCs, so it might be handled quite differently on a mac.

I am not finidng any crashes in our crash-reporting system associated with your email. The next time you hit this crash, could you please submit the crash report including your email and a note mentioning this post (and then also let us know here that you did so as well).

It's not from my computer, but another employee's in my organization that's having the issue, but I'll see if I can get them to send a crash report.
