I was thinking of using AE to design a basic 3D graphic which I will then be inserting into an A4 poster in InDesign
I know I can create 3D graphics in Illustrator, but I find AE to be far superior when working in a 3D space.
When I go to export a still in AE, I go 'Composition > Save Frame As' and it then allows me to save it as a .psd
But is there a way I can blow it up to around 4x the size? Or is the only way to increase the size of my comp? Would the latter mean it will tax my computer a lot more?
Then, changing the composition size is the only way to get crisp graphics.

You must set the composition size at the exact same size you want to export using the Save Frame as command. Anyway you can do it in the Output Module Settings. Check attached image.

Thanks, I tried that but my image appears a little blurry... is there a way to do it without losing quality? as the shapes in my AE file are all vector shapes

Yeah, sure. A lot more pixels need to be sampled.

Thanks, I imagine I could counteract that by setting the composition to just 1 frame in duration?
