Expression / Pick Whip for Gradient Control

Enthusiast ,

I have a master comp for my colors. I'd love to be able to have gradients in there, too, but it seems like you can't pick-whip or link a gradient fill's colors to another layer... Any ideas here?

I know I can do it with 4 color gradient, etc, but my gradient has more than four values, etc.

Layer styles are a closed box simply inherited from Photoshop. This will never work, anyway and it's beyond the AE devs' control how this stuff works internally. that being the case, you simply need to consider using other methods to generate your gradients in the first place so they can be linked with expressions, which could mean anything from buying third-party plug-ins to meticulously constructing gradients using otehr effects.

Try to use ramp effects instead of gradian, it can help if you want to use 2 colors only and also 4-Color Gradient if you want to have more color control
