Hi,

when I build a simple animation, like following a path, what would be the best file type to store that file for a mobile app (to include it in iOS or Android with react-native)?

thank you

Video is not interactive, AE is designed to create video. Any 3rd party addon's that convert AE animations for use in web-based apps are severely limited and you must design around the limitations.

If you are creating animations for mobile devices the best option is to use Adobe Animate. That's what it is designed to do.
