Flickering text after editing

Community Beginner ,
Apr 19, 2023 Apr 19, 2023

I have a project which I had to addapt to vertical video. But as I changed position and scale of the text, it started to flicker between it's new and old position and scale. It also happens if I disable or delete the text layer. I uploaded a video to exemplify to be more clear.

I already purged my data and restarted AE prefferences, I don't know what else to do, hope someone can help me with this issue. Thanks!

Did you purge both the disk and memory cache? Can you share the project?

Is the text just Layer 60? If you solo that layer, does it still happen for you?

This error happens with several text layers on this project.

If I solo it the error stops.

I can't reproduce the issue on my machine, so either it sounds like a cache issue, or one of those footage layers (maybe layer 1 which appears to be a sequence of pngs I don't have?) still contains the content. I would try soloing each layer and make sure that each layer is ok.

The PNG sequence is a fill layer and the flickering was caused by the reference frames. Apparently, when i pre-comped the fill layer with the reference frames, the fill layer was placed in the bottom of the comp, being overlayed by the refference frames, cousing the flicker. Now I just found out that there's no need to keep the reference frames in the project 😅

Thank you very much for the support!

Actually the reference frames are still in the bottom of the pre-comp. What happens is that the fill layer does not render on the frames where there is a reference frame, causing the flicker to occur, as the reference frame was created with text layer on.
