Fonts missing in After Effects exist in Font Book on Mac

Hi. I am trying to use a template I had made in the past that uses a font installed from a project long past. The font is not showing up in After Effects, but it is in the Mac Font Book. I have added the ttf extension in the fontbook, but this doesn't work. And then I tried adding the otf extension and this doesn't work. When I have tried an online font converter, it says the file is empty, even though on my computer the definitely have about 35kb each.

I am on an M1 Ultra running MacOS 13.4.1

Is it Postscritp Type 1?  Support for that font format ended.

PostScript Type 1 fonts end of support

If Postscript Type 1, converting the font to TrueType should allow it to load as expected in current Adobe applications.  Better yet, reach out to the font publisher to see if a TrueType or OpenType version is available.

Changing the file extension does not convert it.
