Frozen frame of the footage showing up in the Comp preview window

Does anybody know what I have done? This is a dynamic link project, it was working fine until a frozen frame of a shot I used it a pre-comp started appearing throughout the empty portions of the Main Comp's timeline. The section of the timeline as you can see in the screenshot is empty, but the preview window is showing the shot and this is only showing up on the empty sections. Any idea how to fix this?

Start by flushing your caches from the respective sections of the Edit menu or the preferences and check your hardware acceleration settings. Phantom frames indicate corrupted caches and/ or problmes with GPU drawing functions where the graphics buffers aren't flushed correctly.
