Ghosting (blurring) problem with after effects

I have some footage, proress 444, 2500x2500.

I import into after affects and see the highlights are glowing, this carries through the export.

I tried various export settings but the same issue. In final cut, the result is much better. In the attached image, see the glowing on the highlight

Try unchecking the Enable hardware-accelerated decoding (requires restart) in the preference as follows -

After Effects > Preferences > Import >  Under Footage > Uncheck Enable hardware-accelerated decoding (requires restart)

Thanks but unfortunately does not make a different.

Footage with final cut is showing none of this glowing but a lot of glowing in AE.

It looks like you are not working in 16bpc to maintain the color depth of your original footage. Coudl you share with us a screen capture of your Project Panel?
