Help! Error: crash occurred while evoking plug-in "charecter pallette"

Every time I try to open a certain project, it crashes and I get this meesage. I use version 18.4.1

Impossible to know without any specific info on the project, the fonts used in the project, the kind of formatting applied and whatnot. Though the answer is pretty much staring you in the face: Your project likely uses a botched/ damaged/ old/ bad font and it makes the font engine go belly up. Either that or there's a problem with the language and thus by extension rendering soem characters that may not fit your current language setting. at any rate, much more info is needed to even come close to a sensible guess.

I think I succeeded to fix it.

I removed the effect that causing the error from the effect folder.

My intial thought was this was a Font issue. If you have indeed resolved this matter, it is a good idea to share with the community which effect it was which caused the error message. Thanks.
