Does anyone know how to do a very basic thing in Aftereffects: I want the animation to stop once it is played. I know I can do this to each layer using that LoopOut feature but what if I want the entire animation to stop once it has played. I export as an animated Gif using Media Encoder but the gif just loops over and over. I only want it to play once. Anyone know? Seems like it would be a very basic simple thing

You cannot set GIF looping options in AME. You have to export an image sequence or clip, import it into Photoshop's timeline and set the options from there. Likewise, you can use whatever other image processing tools or online services that spit out animated GIFs. AE and AME are simply the most unsuitable tools for the task.

Again, this is not possible. It has nothing to do with your keyframes or soem secret render setting. AE simply has no way of setting specific GIF options and for other formats it doesn't matter.

That part is clear, But how about an mp4 or other format ? Hoe would you set the stop funtion?
