but. Conversely, it is imposible to find the percentage of the position on the path of the Nth point.

I don't think this is possible (at least not without some wild math) because a path can be as long as you want with as many or few points as you want. The number of points don't drive anything in this expression, the length of the path does. This is why this expression often hooks up to a slider so you can intuitively control your position on the path. Would conecting to a slider (and dividing tha value by "100") work for you?

As already pointed out, there is no causal relation between a splines length and the points. You woulkd have to write a complex inverse Bèzier formula and include each and every detail of the actual spline to be able to figure out anything.
