How often do After Effects bring new updates? Da Vinci Resolve and Filmora seem to have a much more accurate tracking system than After Effects. Is it just a matter of time before Adobe brings a new update which includes a better tracking system similar to others? Or is it worth purchasing one of these other programs just to have the option of choosing some of the better features from others?

AE comes with a trimmed down version of mocha from BorisFX. This is considered "industry standard". The native trackers in AE are a completely other topic and if that's really a concern, you should not expect any miracles. They work reasonably well for clearcut scenarios, but of course there's a ton of better tools out there. Except for the 3D tracker there haven't been too many significant updates after their initial releases, so no, it's not a matter of time before there will be some super tracker or whatever. You could wait for another ten years and never see anything change in that department. Therefore your decision what you use or buy should be determined on concrete needs and if you need better tracking, then buy mocha Pro, SsynthEyes, the tools you mentioned or whatever alternatives you want to consider and can afford.
