How to animate a path like this

Hi,

I alwys stare at this type of animation like a cat looks at an unreachable fish in a safe aquarium... I wonder how can I pull this animation. what is the secret behind it.. The cloud animation... never ending loop. Please someone help me. Please, Please, Please

For the clouds, think about how you can combine and animate shapes in a Shape Layer (for example, three circles and a rectangle) and use another Shape Layer (just a rectangle) as a Layer Matte to get the net result of an animated luma matte in an upstream Comp that then gets used in downstream Comps to fill and style it.
