Hello, forums community! I have a question about creating a video in After Effects to illustrate my design with motion graphics. I'm interested in resources and tips for self-learning. Additionally, the link to videos involves the architect Bjarke Ingles, who is renowned for his diagrams and visuals. Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

Those shots are 3D models created and animated as shots in a 3D app like Cinema 4D (C4D) or Blender. The free version of C4D Lite that comes with After Effects is not up to the task. Blender certainly is. I do most of my 3D modeling in Blender, even though I have the full version of C4D because I have been using Blender for about 11 years.

Check out Blender here: https://www.blender.org/features/

It's an amazing open-source (free) 3D software that can fully create that kind of animation. You can't do that kind of work in After Effects unless you invest in a 3D Plugin like Element 3D, but you would still need to resort to a 3D app like C4D, Maya, Houdini, Fusion 360, or some others.

There are some fairly capable 3D modeling apps available for tablets and phones. They might get you started.

Once you render the shots you want to use, edit them in an NLE like Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or even Movie Maker. 3D apps and After Effects are not designed to edit movies. You make the shots, then you render them and edit them using the right tools.
