I want to use the adjustment layer from my project 1 to use in project 2.

In project 2 I import the composition with the adjustment layer. Then I copy the adjustment layer where needed.

When I now delete the imported composition, the copied layer also disappears? Have also tried with duplicate instead of copy, same result. Is there a way to use only the layer and have the imported composition (with the original layer) deleted?

Of course you need to move or duplicate the source item out of the imported folder in the project panel. AE doesn't do that automatically.

ok, thank you I will test it. When moving the layers to project folder it was hard to find the specific layers. Because I have renamed the adjustment layers in the sequencer AE. These names are not seen in the AE project panel.

It seems the project panel holds the original name for adjustment layers while the sequencer shows the renamed version. Any idea how to get the renamed version everywhere?
