How to edit automated effect and present speed in After Effects

hey guys really need help with editing the speed of an effect. i am unable to use speed map on animations made by by effects and presets please help! been looking for the answer for a while. also attached a video for better explanation

Do you have any keyframes? I think you do, based on the fact that there is an animation moving. Press U on your keyboard, highlight the keyfames by dragging your mouse cursor over it like a selection. Then you can go into the graph editor an edit the speed of those graphs.

thank you for responding. the issue is that am not seeing a key frame anywhere. clicked through all the drop downs. are we suppose to be able to see the key frames from animations that are made automatically?  Such as the background effects partical and fractal effects?

LATEST

You can press U while in the timeline panel to bring up all keyframes. If that doesn't work, you might have keyframes in different compositions. Check those out if that doesnt work.
