How to free transform a shape layer?

Explorer ,
Oct 04, 2021 Oct 04, 2021

Hey guys,

Back into after effects 18.4.1 and I assume free transform short cut has been changed? Back 2 years ago I could easily press shortcuts, i forgot, like SHIFT + Left click a corner and left click without shift and select ONE point in a shape and move that point without affecting the other points.

Now I can't do it. No matter what combo of shortcuts, like double click, Alt+Left click or right click, CTRL + left click or right click, shift etc......

Some tutorials say, right click > Mask and Shape Path > Free Transform points but it's greyed out for m e, even when I create a new shape, its greyed out!

What am I doing wrong? All I want is to freely transform one point of a shape and move it around. This was so much easier a few versions ago!

Edit:
I found it, go to the shape layer > expand > shape layer name > Path 1 > Path and select points by holding down shift.....

Man that was a headache to figure out!
