How to nest 3d layers into 1 composition while retaining its perspective effects?

So i have a composition with a lot of 3d layers and i want to make multiple panning shots of it by using the camera so it would have that parallax effect. But i don't want to make more compositions because it would make updating the original composition tedious. Pre composing the compositions negates the 3d effect im looking for. Is there any way to do something like this while retaining the 3d effect? People said that i have to turn off transformations, but that only ruins the placement of each layers.

Yeah, sounds like a classic case of "You can't have both." and you may have navigated yourself into a corner. Impossible to say anything specific without actually seeing your stuff, though, but my gut feeling says that you likely face soem major restructuring and reworking of your project. Some screenshots of the comp and timeline certainly would help and make it easier to advise.

If you enable Collapse Transformations on the nested comps (pre-comps), all 3D layers in the nested comps will interact with the camera and lights in the main comp. You may end up with layer order issues but those can usually be solved.

As Mylenium said, without seeing some screenshots with the modified properties of the problem layers showing and maybe even a flow chart showing us the structure of the compositions, it is pretty difficult to give you any better suggestions.
