How to produce this background effect?

New Here ,

Hi everyone,

I just have a simple problem : I would like to know if anyone would know how to reproduce this background effect (https://youtu.be/RLVnEjrb1x4) on after effects ?

For information, it's from the "MORE" music video of KD/A on the league of legends channel on youtube.

It's been months since I've given up on trying to reproduce it but maybe someone could actually help me find a solution to this problem. I really like the effect (maybe it's 3D ? I don't know) and would like to use it on some personal projects.

If anyone can help, i'm listening.

Thanks a lot,

Have a great day.

Valentyn.

That look can be achieved by applying multiple gradient fills to a shape layer and then fiddling with blend modes and opacity on each color. You can then add some distortion effects and overlay multiple gradient filled shape layers with some blend modes,  soft edges, and blending modes.

I tried to do what you said but it's not really the same, it looks like it but it's a little bit different. Thanks though for the reply, thinking of it, it kind of seems like a silk texture effect or something like that maybe, what do you think?
