To simplify things, I would start the shot when the drone shadow is on the grass. That's only a few frames that need to be trimmed. Then Content-Aware Fill should be able to get rid of the drone shadow.

Did you pay attention to the workflow? Trim the footage to the first frame where the shadow is over the lawn, draw a mask around the shadow, animate the mask position to keep the shadow inside the mask, change the mask to subtract to poke a hole in the layer, open the tracking workspace, set a little expansion, make sure you see the entire Content-Aware Fill panel, Click generate the fill. This took me about 6 minutes.

I've done all of that, but in the black box which shows where the generative fill thinks the holes are, I do not have the shape of the mask I made, and yes the mask is on subtract mode.
