Hello, I have a vector map consisting of cmall circles ( a lot | 2000 of them).
When I import it in After effects it's impossible to work with/make shapes from Vector layer/...
I would like to put an expression on all circles that randomly pops the scale to 100% But now I can't even work with the circles.
Is there Anything I can do?
So many individual shapes could be a problem in After Effects. Try splitting the map into 3-4 parts. If that doesn't help, try using CC Ball Action instead of individual shapes. Here's an in-depth tutorial: https://adobe.ly/40r6IDj
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

You might try installing Adobe XD, then create a new document, use File/Import to import the Illustrator File, and then immediately select File/Export After Effects. This will open a new AE composition with every path a shape layer. If you have efficiently created the AI file it will probably be faster to work with.
It's critical that your Illustrator file is as simple as it can be.

Are there any After Effects experts who could quickly help me with the following?
I have a file consisting entirely of (a lot of) circles (+/-2500).
I would like to have them all randomly pop in using an expression. However, the Illustrator file seems way too heavy for After Effects to handle.
Is there a way to solve this so that I can work with the circles individually?

Hi,
It's good practice to convert the Illustrator layer/file into a shape layer first in After Effects.
Set two keyframes for opacity for all circles. first '0', last '100' then apply this expression to the opacity of any layer-
wiggle(1,100) < 100 ? 0: 100
then copy this expression and paste it to the other layers. Hope this will help.
