Import psd with layers with the same name issue

Hi, I have a problem that I can't distinguish layer sources with the same name after importing from psd.

I am using after effect scripting and the only information I have is source name / psd file. In my case I have 2 same sources but these are 2 different images.

You probably will have to create a BridgeTalk script that acts as a wrapper around your AE and PS scripts. To my knowledge AE scripting has no way of accessing the PS layer ID natively, but of course you could find out. Naturally it's kind of clunky, since you'd always have to ensure Photoshop is active for the PS part of the scripts to run. Otherwise it may be better to simply instruct whoever is creating these PSDs to use unique layer names youz can process.
