Importing from photoshop to AE

Enthusiast ,

Hello,

I have two confusions.

1-I will animate this in AE. Do I have to merge all those clipping layers with the original one before importing them in AE?

2- if I apply adjustment layers on the drawing do I have to merge that too?

Thank you.

Yes to both. AE cannot do anything with PS adjustment layers nor does it handle group masks, clipping layers, certain layer styles and blending options and so on. Unless you want/ need to re-create these things in AE for animation with track mattes, pre-compositions and so on, rasterizing and merging layers in PS would be the simplest way to handle this.
