Inconsistent render times

In the After Effects program, the render file that took 3 hours yesterday is now taking 25 hours. My software is up to date. On a different note, both CPU and GPU usage percentages are extremely low, with GPU at 7-9% and CPU at 40-50%. Can anyone with knowledge on this matter please help? I need to finish the project urgently.

Turn off cache usage in the render settings and preferences and flush the caches. The rest is of no consequence. AE will never use 100% resources and some combinations of effects and functions are slower than others.

Did you make any changes to the project file since the day when it took 3 hours to render? Which effects are in use? Are there any third-party plug-ins used? Have you tried clearing the media cache?
