Issue with composition playback

Opened up After Effects this morning and created a new comp as usual, but instead this has happened. No matter what I put in the compositon nothing is viewable. It also won't play even if there is something in the timeline. This happens both from a completely new project or when I make a comp in a previous project. The odd thing is if I load up an old project it plays and works just fine until I make a new comp. I have troubleshooted with some stuff already, re booted, purged memory etc. But any suggestions would be greatly recieved!

Can you Enable Logging from AE's Help menu, reproduce the bug, then grab the After Effects Log.txt file (use Help -> Reveal Log Files) and then post the content back here?

@brianc97908274 Please follow the same steps to gather a log file. Also, did you recently upgrade AE or change GPU drivers, or install something else on your machine? Is it exactly the same as the video Tash111 posted?
