When you have a keyframe highlighted (and therefore nominated for editing) then use the advance arrow or K to jump to the next keyframe, the highlighted one remains so. Wouldn't it be better if any keyframe we jump to (via arrow/K) is automatically highlighted, and the new subject for editing? I'm often editing the previous keyframe by mistake! Do please tell me if I'm just missing a setting.

That's one of those "Those people..." questions. If you ask a hundred users, you'll get a hundred different answers how they want it to work. The current model is just fine for typical ETLAT workflows (edit this, look at that) in the sense that a user may be before or after the keyframe and tweak its values to judge changes in motion derived from the keyframe, something which often happens with expressions, others may want it like you and then there's a whole lot of variations on the theme. So for what it's worth, the current way is just fine and if at all perhaps auto-selecting keyframes when navigating should become an option that can be toggled in the prefs.

Hi - I'm sure you're right, - most people will be fine with it, and it's a bit trivial, granted. As you say, a good option to have in settings. A warranted addition to several 'auto-select ones already in there.
