Keyframing one side of a shape layer to move independently

Hello. I'm creating a lower third where the title box has an upper and lower shape within it that are even in size. At a certain point, I want the upper shape to grow to take up 2/3's of the entire box with the lower portion shrinking to 1/3. I will place the name in larger text up top and the title below in the smaller section. But I can't figure out which parameter to keyframe. When I pan behind the anchor point, it effects the shape for the entire timeline. When I try to keyframe position or scale, it doesn't animate. I'm kind of stuck. Thinking about adjusting scale and animating it back into place manually but I know I'm missing something and want to learn why. Anyone have some tips or a possible answer?

You could fix it by grouping your layers. I would suggest you actually read the help on that stuff. Understanding how shape layer groups and transforms work can really boost your work. You would then simply adjust the origin of your parent groups and and use that. Otherwise of course this could easily be done by using solids and applying a linear wipe or scaling them. Not everything has to be shape layers these days. Either way, you likely need to start over to straighten this out.

Thanks for the response, I'm going to spend some time reading up on the fundamentals of shape layer groups and tranformations for future work. Thanks for the tip.
