Hey All,
Trying to limit the usage with the commands "–mem_usage image_cache_percentmax_mem_percent" and "-mfr mfr_flag max_cpu_percent" on the new AE 2022 and I get this errors:
[2022-02-17 16:48:23] [info] asio async_connect error: asio.system:10061 (No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.)
[2022-02-17 16:48:23] [info] Error getting remote endpoint: asio.system:10057 (A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket is not connected and (when sending on a datagram socket using a sendto call) no address was supplied.)
[2022-02-17 16:48:23] [error] handle_connect error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
I tried to do it with previous AE versions as well a while back and it never worked, Anyone tried to limit AE from using all specs successfully ?
Thanks,
Elad

None of that makes any sense to anyone if you don't provide actual system information and technical detail like what the current memory settings are, what projects you are trying to render and what they contain. An ASIO error suggests a specific audio, issue, anyway. Therefore chances are that your projects never wil lrender this way because whatever device isn't compatible and does not get initialized properly in this mode.

So is the use of the flags "–mem_usage image_cache_percentmax_mem_percent" and "-mfr mfr_flag max_cpu_percent" are project dependent ? cause it looks like no matter the project the resource limitation doesn't work

Again, you're not making any sense. Unless you actually tell us what's going on in your project and the details of your computer and settings, nobody can help you. The error clearly relates to your audio environment and it's absolutely imaginable that this simply makes everything go *kaboom*. At the same time it's doubtful that there is a generic issue or else the forum would be flooded with posts like yours. The conclusion therefore has to be that the rendcer flags work just fine and there is a specific issue on your system that prevents things from functioning correctly.

Thanks Mylenium,
But lets forget about the errros. I meant that it doesn't mater which project i'm rendering, Also when I get no errors and the render finsihes correctly, I can't limit aerender to use less resources.
It is always uses all the machine has to give, both CPU and RAM.
And I'm just trying to limit aerender to use less resources.
