Hi,
I'm in PPro beta (25.6.0 b50) and AE beta (25.6.0 b49)
Select clips in PPro timeline > Replace with AE comp doesn't work as expected! AE is opened but without any clips in the comp timeline.
Neither does copy & paste PPro > AE or drag & drop.
I've also tired the non-beta version and while some combination works it is very unpredictable and difficult to link and switch between applications for some reason. Why is that? Anyone experiencing the same?
Linking has never been a problem before in this scope.
Thanks for any help!

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details. I just gave it a try. The Beta and the official versions work fine on my end. Are there any error messages? Is it happening with a specific project or media? Try restarting your computer if you haven't already.
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi @nishu_kush
Thanks for checking this out! Yes, I have restarted and, no, I have problems in all projects (more than 3 tried).
New things on my PC.
Suspect problem
Thanks

Thanks for sharing the details. The user account permissions can play a role. If you can, create a new local admin account and test the functionality. It'll narrow down the issue.
Thanks,

Hello @nishu_kush
I'm also experiencing the same issue. When I replace a clip with a composition using Premiere Pro Beta and After Effects Beta (both updated today), it opens a project in After Effects, with a composition without the video file.
I use a MacBook Pro, 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, with macOS Ventura (13.7.4).
If the feature is enabled in the menu:
Beta > Enable Feature > New Mask
The "Replace with After Effects composition" doesn't work, even though it's just a simple video, without any mask.
If I disable the feature, it works, but the Premiere project I was using is lost because, with the feature enabled, it saves to a newer version.

I also created a new user on the Macbook Pro but was unable to get "Replace with After Effects composition" to work correctly when the "New Mask" feature is enabled.

Are you getting the issue in the official version as well? Beta versions can have issues, so troubleshooting them is not a good idea. However, I just tested the latest version of both apps, and the dynamic link seems to be working fine. If the New Masking is enabled in Premiere Pro, I get messages that it is not supported by After Effects, but the clip makes it through.
Thanks,
Nishu

What version of Premiere Pro and After Effects are you using? Are you using the beta version? If yes, can you check if the problem persists in the official release?
Thanks,
Nishu
