Luma Extracting pine needles from a white background

Hi Everybody,

I have a situation where I need to extract a pine needle wreath from a white background. It's a pretty clear pop, except for the shadows. The shadows are not budging and I can't seem to find a way to remove them with out it affecting the core of the wreath, and trying to 'garbage matte' the stems of the tree back in would be...horrendous. At that point it's cancel the wreath, insert snowflake instead. 

I've attached an image to demonstrate what I mean, if anybody has any suggestions, I appreciate it. Thanks for reading!
