Maxon Cineware 2025 GENERIC Error - Must Be Installed ...It is, what gives?

Community Beginner ,

I haven't used this in a while, I'm now reinstalling stuff over and over. I have this demo project I need to work on today to get this job and now I'm dealing with Maxon snags.

Can't I just run Cineware 2025? I have it installed, why is this error coming up? Do I need to back install?

Please advise, thanks.

Hi @Xander36210402r7ns! Im sorry you're experiencing this. It seems like your Maxon apps and AE are tangled. Can you try fully uninstalling AE and Cinema4D and then reinstalling. Make sure you check the box to install Cinema4D when you redownload AE. Let me know if you are still running into issues after trying this.

Hey Zach, thanks so much for the response. It's been fruuuuustrating. I figured it out though. I couldn't use 2025 because my OS X is not new enough. I don't use the latest because OS X...is ghetto. I can't do batch droplets and I'm a production designer so I'm on Monterey. So I spend the day figuring out that I couldn't use the latest 2025 (after being directed there). It tooko two rounds of that before the warning popped up from Maxon saying my OS was in compatible for the latest version. So here I am with chatGPT asking for dates because Maxon doesn't have them listed only versions in an attempt to match which freakin' version will the switch right. R25 was to old, it wanted 2024. So I installed 2024 again after upgrading to 2025 to suit this situation, downloaded 2024 Cineversatron whatever and this one WORKED! I got the big white won't work page but clicked the button and it WORKED....LOL. Phew.

So....moral of the story is Maxon needs to = the After Effects you're using for comptability. If it's not the latest you need to obey the year.

Lesson learned. 8:39pm...okay I can get started...LOL.

Thanks again!
