My Computer: M1 Mac mini 8GB

Hi all,
I am working on a template flag animation, after doing all the editing when I export it and add it to the media encoder it shows a black-screen video. (I use H.264 because I like to keep it low file size and Need to get it in MP4 format) In the media encoder, it shows a black screen and not a preview video.

So, I decided to use After Effects inbuild render and it renders QuickTime format. But that time sometimes I get instant black glitches. I don't know what's going on. Down below I attach a few screenshots of my com setting. I can not render in quick time in using a media encoder. Only need to use inbuild render in after-effect

Please help adobe

Hi Dushan,

We can get it checked.

Please tell us more about your project. Which type of media are you using in the file? Is it an AI file or a video footage? What's the version of After Effects you're using? After Effects has the option to export H.264 if that's what you're looking for.

Looking forward to your response.

Note: Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi,
Thank you for your message. Sure I will explain it.
I got a flag animation template. I made some adjustments and it has element 3d plugin/effect. Maybe that is the issue. i don't know. because it renders without any issue in adobe after-effect inbuild render with QuickTime and .mov file type.

But I need to get it in .mp4 format. So, I think I need to use H.264 . But my after-effect hasn't inbuild after-effect H.264

I use the 2022 version. because I need smooth software experience. So, I decided to go with the older version.

I belive may be that i used element 3d in the after effect project. may be that will be an issue on the media encoder. Or codec. Currently i use after effect inbuild render.

Please let me know how to render .mp4 file in inbuild adobe after effect render tab?

And why it showing black in media encoder rendering.

I am guessing the original source material is variable frame rate MP4. That's a common problem with cell phone video and a lot of the video you download from the web.

The fix is to transcode the original footage to a standard frame rate using the Media Encoder. Pick a lossless format.

Change the format to Quicktime and choose Match Source.

If the frame rate is not standard, double-click on the project file and choose a standard frame rate that is close to the original.
