Need Help to create a double helix where a helix can be 2 sided color

Hi everyone - I'm trying to create double helix animation as in the attached image as an animation where the helix be two sided each side have it's own color . i tried to optimise my project but im not getting the same visual as the logo. (i used cc cylindre). Any advice would be appricated ‌‌. thanks

The CC cylinder effect Render has three option: Full, Outside and Inside.

If you create two layers the top one set to Outside and the bottom one set to Inside you can then change the color of them independently from one another.
