New AE cc 2020 installation won't open

Hey. I've been using cc 2017 for about a year and finally upgraded to cc 2020. I'm currently stuck on the 'double-click the folder to install adobe creative cloud and after effects' but when I do so, it brings me to the Creative Cloud app that I already had installed and doesn't open AE. What is going on?

Hi! Do you still have the AE CC 2017 installer?
I desperately need it for a third party plugin which does not work with newer versions because of a major bug in AE 😞
