Hi All,
I have checked the forum and found a few posts on there but none have solved the problem so I am trying again! (my specs are at the end of the message)
I'm contsatly getting the "Out of Memory 23::40" message. It has become impossible for me to get any work done. I'm contstantly purging the Media cache, I have designated 24 GB of RAM for after effects and 4 Gb for the rest of the applications.
I think this "lack" of memory is literally affecting everything I do, including my exports via media enocder. I have spend the entire day trying to export a project but constatly met with this issues, I have given up and really don't know where else to look. Can anyone please tell me what this issue could be? Is it the project? My settings??My computer?? My graphics card?
The project itself is around 1.30 mins but it has some footage (combination of .mp4 and .mov), Im using a few templates that I purchased, so there is a little cocktail of different projects inside the project but almost sure this is not the issue. The issue is the memory. After purging, (constantly) it still tells me out of memory when I try to play it or export it. With all my projects, its almost certain that the Media encoder will not complete the export, I have to "Split" the exports in two and then piece them together in Premier. But at the moment, its the out of memory message I keep getting and then freezing and having to restart (have done it more than 20 times today). My laptop is fairly new, 6 months old.
Here are my sepcs:

Hi! Ok I wanted to give you a quick update. I did a lot of research and I think I found a solution and so far, I did not get a single "out of memory" notification.
Please let me know if this works for you too by commenting on my post.
The key word here is SWAP files, (follow instructions below on how to access them), what you need to do is to click on "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives". Just click on that and hopefully this problem will be solved.
I was also workig on a more

I would recommend you render your problematic comp. to a TIFF image sequence.
Its easy to restart the render process from the place AE stopped working.
Assemble the image sequence in Premiere with any audio tracks you need to add.
Send that timeline to Encoder to make your deliverables.

Enable more verbose loging in the render panel to actually get some info what happens when the errror comes up. Could simply be a specific combination of things. Other than that of course the usual supsects - GPU acceleration issues. Experimenting with driver settings or installing a different version may go a long way. Same applies to device drivers for your SSD, audio drivers and such.

I was also workig on a more powerful computer which started to really slow down, did the same thing (and cleaned up the desktop from large files which probably also helped) OMG the difference in my previews!!
I hope this will help many of you who will read this post.
Good luck!

The "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" was already checked on my system. But I still get the out of memory error. I have 32gb RAM and a 1TB dedicated SSD drive fore After Effects chache files. It has already filled upp 500gb of that drive.
Is there any other solution? It's getting frustrating.

It\s gone away for now, but not sure exactly how. At one point I deleted and reinstalled. And I also deleted a large bunch of files on my desktop.
Hope that might work for you.
