This is an ongoing issue that I'm surprised hasn't been raised before:
I have a nested composition with a time remap.
If I use "Open Layer" I'm taken to the correct timecode in the "Layer" window.
However, if I use "Open Layer Source" I'm taken to a completely different timecode in the source "Composition" window, and the playback head in the composition with the nest is teleported to a new unrelated position if I check back.
Additionally, if I have the two timeline windows open at the same time, moving the playback head in one results in a similar mismatched point in the other.

Ok, I'm glad to hear it's not just me.
Is this something that could be looked into please Adobe team?
Not being able to match-frame between nested compositions is quite problematic, and surely a relatively easy fix.
Cheers!

Hi Adobe Team,
Just following up on this.
Is accurate Layer Source match-framing something we can expect in an update?
Or is there a rationale to the current manner of opperation? Apologies if so, I'm just struggling to see it.
Cheers!

I am also having this problem - BenBH, were you able to find a workaround or solution?
