Hello All,

I keep getting the same error when I try to open AE:

After Effects error: After Effects crashed previously attemping to intitialize OpenGL. Consult the manufactureer of your graphics card for a compatible OpenGL driver.

I am wondering if someone else is having the same problem as me.

No magic fixes. You have to spend soem time configuring your card properly and experimenting with settings and driver versions. Really not much more to say than that.

Thanks for your response -

I am on the phone with Adobe and Nvidia now - Looks like we got the right drivers in. Now we are troubleshooting why it opens when I disconnect my dosplaylink.

Hi @jimmypalacios ,

Information on this problem is thin.

There's this: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/after-effects/using/basics-gpu-after-effects.html that lists the driver required.

Reach out to Adobe support - https://helpx.adobe.com/support/after-effects.html. There is a contact us link at the bottom of the page.

NVidia's customer support - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/support/consumer/

This is where you can manually download drivers - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/drivers/

I read a thread on the Premiere Pro community, saying that it no longer supported the RTX 2060 since 2019, but cannot confirm this.

Let us know how you go.
