Overlay Issue in After Effects Project

I’m reaching out on behalf of my agency, where we recently got an interesting project involving a Spain-based calculator site called https://calculadoradederivadas.es/. The project primarily involves creating dynamic overlays and motion graphics for their educational content. The client wants sleek animations explaining how derivatives work, which align perfectly with their branding and purpose.

While working on this project, I ran into a peculiar issue with one of the layers. Here's the scenario:

I created a text layer for an overlay that was meant to fade in and out dynamically with a smooth easing effect.

However, when previewing, the text layer behaves strangely—it either flickers or disappears completely during the animation.

This only happens when I apply the Track Matte Alpha setting to blend it with a shape layer below. Without the Track Matte, it works fine, but the blending effect is crucial for the client’s branding style.

I’ve double-checked the pre-compositions, re-imported assets, and even purged the cache, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered something like this before? Could it be a bug or something I might’ve overlooked? I’m working on After Effects 2024, running it on Windows 11 Pro.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
