particles settle down (impurities) in water tank

Hi guys, I'm trying to make particles settle down (impurities)  in water tank. Using Particular plugin and default particle system doesn't seem to give me that result . Any ideas ?. i attached manually made video any one can see it.

Particular using these settings will give you particles that slowly fall to a floor layer and stick to it. The screenshot shows every control that I adjusted.

I don't know what you want the particles to look like or how you want them to react. We need a lot better idea of the kind of look you want to achieve.

I know you mention Particular and Rick has given you an example for that, but if anyone else is trying to do this and cannot afford Particular, then CC Particle World with resistance settings can get you pretty close:
