performance on M1X MacBook Pro 2021

Hello guys, 

I just switched from a 2018 intel MBP to an 2021 ARM M1X MBP. I am really concerned about the performance here. I'm operating on AE 2021, also tried the BETA but nothing seems to help. At some points my old Macbook seems to do better (i7, 16GB RAM) than my new one (M1X, 64GB RAM, 32 GPU > maxed out version). Its really frustrating, concerning the reviews of the new Macbooks I expected at least an performance boost. 

Do you think its because adobe needs to optimize AE to the new chips or what could be the reason here? I also tried to optimize the settings for better performance (max out the RAM usage, multiframe rendering etc.). I also thought it might be the new OS that is causing the problem (OSX montery).
Maybe there is someone having the same issue?
