Possible Memory Leak - AE22, Win11

New Here ,
Oct 31, 2021 Oct 31, 2021

Good evening,

Just upgraded to Windows 11 and AE 22.0. Working with a few shape layers, an audio track, (1) 3D set and (1) Camera layer, AE continously eats more and more RAM until maxed out (in my case, 32gigs). Is anybody else experiencing a similar issue? Program opens fine, it seems like as the preview renders it caches the entirety of the project. Which is expected, until you go to a specific time and then start previewing a change....and then it starts eating more RAM on top of that already allocated. Makes things pretty unusable after just a few minutes.

Thanks!

At this point Win 11 is more or less unsupported and that's pretty much all there is to say about the matter. You're pretty much on your own trying to straighten this out. The smart move would be to go back to Win 10.

I posted the problem here as I had issues with the version prior to this. Adobe have just ignored me.

I have the same problem. It keeps eating more and more RAM. Resource monitor says it is using more commited memory than there is physical memory which means it even fills out the page file. Causing other apps to freeze and stop running, browsers crashing etc. Sometimes even the PC itself crashes.

Even if Win11 is not yet officially supported, it is the future standard and therefore should be in addressed.
