Power Pin not working as expected

Hi there, I'm trying to change the perspective of one of my layers, and I'm having trouble with the CC Power Pin effect.

Does anyone know why the pin corners default to the edges of my 1920 x 1080 comp? I'd like to put them on the bounds of the precomp I'm applying them to so I can simply drag them to create the perspective.

Thanks,

Matt

Effects always reference layer sizes. You will have to pre-compose your positioned brick pattern to a full size comp, even if it will be mostly empty. That's just how this stuff works. Of course you can consider effects like Mesh Warp or Bezier Warp for some sort of localized warping, but6 even they "pin" the edges to the layer size and pre-composing would still be necessary.
