Pre-comp with Add Mode on a video layer won't work on Parent Comp

Hi. So I have a video layer in a pre-comp that has the Add Mode applied. When I place the pre-comp into the main comp.....the Add mode doesn't work. Now the thing is, I want to make that layer (pre-comp) a 3D layer so I can't use the "collapse transformations" option. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Which 3D renderer are you using? Advanced 3D and Cinema 4D do not support Blending Modes.

I found a work-around by bringing the video layer with the Add mode into the parent comp. Thanks for your time!
